Vacation Fun Reopening at Disney's Hollywood Studios After Nearly Two-Month Closure

Disney's Hollywood Studios has undergone significant changes in 2026, and even smaller experiences haven't been immune to the updates. One Mickey Mouse attraction that was unavailable for weeks is Vacation Fun, which normally offers an easy break from the Florida heat and busier attractions. The closure wasn't connected to a major refurbishment, but Disney needed the space for something else.

The space was repurposed for the Kermit the Frog Annual Passholder magnet distribution, which began on August 11 and continues through September 24. This isn't an unusual use of the theater; Disney temporarily closed Vacation Fun earlier this year for a similar reason - to hold a May the 4th merchandise event.

Now that the magnet distribution is nearing its end, Disney is preparing to return the theater to its regular purpose. According to the park's updated schedule, Vacation Fun will reopen on September 27, allowing Mickey and Minnie Mouse fans to once again experience the original animated short starring the pair as they look back at some of their favorite vacation memories.
