Vegetation Fire Sparks Behind Home Depot in Klamath Falls

A vegetation fire broke out behind the Home Depot in Klamath Falls on Thursday afternoon.

Klamath County Fire District 1 responded quickly, dispatching crews at approximately 4:05 p.m. and arriving just four minutes later to find the fire burning across roughly one-half acre of grass, brush, and low-level trees.

The flames reached approximately 20 feet, threatening several vehicles and nearby residences. KCFD 1 brought in 15 personnel, including four engine companies and two command staff, along with assistance from the Kingsley Field Fire Department.

No cause has been released for the fire, which remains under investigation by authorities.
