Google Play has expanded its payment options to include Venmo for users in the United States. The new addition allows customers to link their Venmo account to their Google Play profile through settings, giving them another way to purchase digital content, including games, apps, and subscriptions.

In related news, TrendForce estimates that Apple's iPhone component costs will jump 38% compared to previous models. This increase is expected to be absorbed by the company in part, with some of the added cost being passed on to consumers through higher prices for older models.

Meanwhile, Ford is launching an AI-powered assistant within its mobile app, which can provide specific information about a customer's vehicle and upcoming servicing needs. The voice-powered assistant is scheduled to be implemented in vehicles by 2027.
