Veteran Chemist and Family Man Stanley Sloka Passes Away at 81
Stanley Sloka, an 81-year-old Canonsburg resident and lifelong resident of the area, passed away on September 29, 2026. He is survived by his wife Sharon, whom he had been married to for 51 years, and their three children: Scott (Nicole) Sloka, Jennifer (Frank) Ji, and Steve (Marie) Sloka.
Stanley was a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and served in the National Guard at the Canonsburg Armory. He began his career with Koppers Chemical and later worked as a Production Supervisor for Reichhold Chemical in Bridgeville, where he was highly respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and dedication.
After retiring from Reichhold Chemical, Stanley enjoyed working at Home Depot in Robinson Township. He was an active member of St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg and found joy in golfing, gardening, and woodworking.
The family received condolences on Sunday at Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated the following day at St. Patrick Church.
