Veteran Danny Brown Dies After Battling Cancer

Danny A. Brown, a 74-year-old Vietnam veteran and former IBM employee, passed away on August 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer at Paulding Hospital in Hiram, GA.

Born on August 23, 1951, in Hopkinsville, KY, to the late Jack and Dorothy Brown, Danny grew up in a small town in Kentucky. He graduated from Hopkinsville High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

After his military service, Danny worked at IBM before retiring. He is survived by his wife Cindy, son Justin, grandson Noah, step-grandson Shane, and several great-step-grandchildren. His sisters Debbie and Darla also survive him, as do brothers David and Billy Donnell.
