Vi Business and Cisco Collaborate to Boost Enterprise Networking in India
Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), has partnered with Cisco to enhance its Hybrid software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) portfolio. This collaboration aims to support enterprises in India as they accelerate cloud adoption and distributed operations, making networks critical for the AI era. The demand for secure, scalable, and intelligent networking solutions is driving growth in India's SD-WAN market, which is projected to reach $14.6 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 20.5%.
Vi Business launched its Hybrid SD-WAN solution in 2023, which helps enterprises modernize their WAN infrastructure by integrating SD-WAN, security, and multi-cloud capabilities. The solution is powered by Cisco Meraki, which offers a single dashboard for easy management of SD-WAN, application-aware routing, security, and built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Backed by Vi Business' nationwide connectivity, enterprises benefit from a fully managed service with proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, and a unified service experience.
The Vi Business Hybrid SD-WAN solution is delivered through a service-based model, eliminating upfront capital investments and enabling businesses to scale as their networking needs evolve. Commenting on the partnership, the chief enterprise business officer of Vi stated that the collaboration with Cisco allows enterprises to centrally manage distributed networks while simplifying operations. The managing director of Cisco India and South Asia emphasized that the modern enterprise network must be intelligent, secure, and built for constant change.
