Vi Business and Cisco Meraki team up to boost hybrid SD-WAN management
Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea, has partnered with Cisco Meraki to enhance its hybrid SD-WAN offering. The collaboration aims to simplify network management for enterprises by integrating Meraki’s cloud-managed solutions into Vi Business’s existing hybrid SD-WAN service, which launched in 2023.
The hybrid SD-WAN solution allows businesses to modernize their wide area networks (WAN) through managed services that support various connectivity options, including leased lines, broadband, and cellular networks. With the addition of Cisco Meraki, customers gain access to a unified dashboard for managing SD-WAN, featuring application-aware routing, performance monitoring, and built-in security, along with Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity.
M P Sunil Kumar, chief enterprise business officer at Vodafone Idea, highlighted that the partnership delivers a fully managed hybrid SD-WAN service with centralized monitoring, lifecycle management, and a seamless experience, backed by Vi’s nationwide connectivity. He emphasized that the integration of advanced cloud-managed SD-WAN, wired and wireless networking, and security simplifies operations for enterprises.
Ashok Shivashankar, partner organization MD for Cisco India & South Asia, noted that modern enterprise networks must be intelligent, secure, and adaptable. He stated that the collaboration with Vi Business enables enterprises to modernize their networks, enhancing agility, scalability, and operational efficiency while supporting digital transformation.
