Vi Business and Cisco team up to advance enterprise network solutions
Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), has teamed up with Cisco to boost its Hybrid software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) offerings. This partnership leverages Cisco Meraki to enhance Vi Business’s Hybrid SD-WAN portfolio, catering to enterprises embracing cloud adoption and distributed operations. The collaboration is timely, as India’s SD-WAN market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.5% to reach $14.6 billion by 2031.
Vi Business launched its Hybrid SD-WAN solution in 2023, which modernizes WAN infrastructure by combining SD-WAN, security, and multi-cloud integration. The solution is delivered through end-to-end managed services with connectivity options across leased lines, broadband, and cellular networks. Cisco Meraki’s single dashboard simplifies network management, offering application-aware routing, security, and built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity.
The partnership ensures enterprises benefit from a fully managed Hybrid SD-WAN service, featuring proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, and a unified service experience. The service-based model eliminates upfront capital investments, allowing businesses to scale as needed. Vi Business’s nationwide connectivity further supports this collaboration, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Commenting on the partnership, the chief enterprise business officer of Vi highlighted the need for secure, agile networking solutions that align with evolving business goals. The collaboration with Cisco, he noted, enables enterprises to manage distributed networks efficiently while ensuring scalability and future-readiness. Cisco’s managing director for India and South Asia echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of intelligent, secure networks in an AI-first world.
