Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 Returns to Munich After Takeoff Incident
A Vietnam Airlines flight bound for Hanoi returned to Munich Airport on Saturday after experiencing technical issues during takeoff, according to flight-tracking website Flightradar24. The Boeing 787 reportedly overran the runway and had to circle back to burn fuel.
The plane landed safely at Munich Airport, but passengers were evacuated using slides as a precautionary measure. The fire brigade was present at the scene. Vietnam Airlines stated that the crew followed all required procedures and landed safely.
The airline is currently coordinating with authorities to inspect the aircraft. Passengers and cabin crew members are reportedly safe.
