A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 aircraft overshot the runway during takeoff at Munich Airport in Germany on August 16, causing panic among passengers and airport staff.

The plane touched down with its tail on the ground before lifting off again to fly over the city for an hour and a half. The pilots reportedly needed time to burn off fuel before safely landing.

Vietnam Airlines representatives stated that the flight to Hanoi was turned back due to a 'technical issue,' without providing further details.
