Vietnam Airlines Plane Returns to Munich After Takeoff Incident
A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 had to return to Munich Airport on Saturday after taking off due to a reported technical issue. According to flight-tracking website Flightradar24, the plane circled for over two hours to burn fuel before landing safely back at the airport.
The passengers were evacuated using slides and the fire brigade was present at the scene. Vietnam Airlines stated that the Hanoi-bound flight had returned due to a technical issue, without providing further details.
The airline assured that the flight crew followed all required procedures and landed safely on the north runway of Munich Airport. Passengers and cabin crew members are reported to be safe.
