Troy Rohrbaugh, Co-President of JPMorganChase, expressed his admiration for Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and investment in the country.
Rohrbaugh noted that the international investment community values Vietnam's macro-economic stability and long-term growth potential, affirming JPMorganChase's readiness to support the country in enhancing information exchanges and developing its financial markets.
Lam emphasized Vietnam's pursuit of ambitious growth targets, including infrastructure development, energy projects, and digital transformation initiatives. In a separate meeting with Robert Thomson, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Government Affairs at Visa Inc., Lam welcomed the company's over 30 years of engagement with the Vietnamese market, recognizing its contributions to digital payments, public services, and tourism development. Thomson expressed his desire to deepen cooperation with Vietnamese partners and support the country's digital transformation efforts.
Lam acknowledged Vietnam's dynamic growth in science, technology, and innovation, particularly in electronic payments, aligning with Visa's investment priorities. He requested Visa's continued support in expanding digital payments in public services, developing a digital tourism ecosystem, and improving visitor experience.
