Visa's recent acquisition of BioCatch for $2.4 billion has expanded its fraud detection and payment security capabilities. The move follows a trend in the financial sector, where companies are investing heavily in digital security measures to mitigate risks.

Circle, another major player in the fintech space, reported its second-quarter earnings on August 6. The company's total revenue and reserve income came in at $701 million, up 7% year over year but slightly below Wall Street's expectations of approximately $717 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 8%, while adjusted diluted earnings per share came in at $0.18, above the market estimate of $0.16.

The news comes as Goldman Sachs has expressed confidence in SpaceX's AI business, calling it a new growth engine for the company. Meanwhile, Daiwa Securities has adjusted its price target on Visa to $422 from $375, maintaining an Outperform rating.
