Visa Extends Partnership with Toronto Film Festival Through 2027
Visa Canada has extended its partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for another multi-year term. As the payment company approaches its 30th year as a festival sponsor in 2027, it will continue to provide cardholder benefits such as early ticket access and priority lines at screening venues.
The partnership includes the Visa Sharing the Screen program, which will distribute 500 complimentary tickets this September and host a talk with director Rebeca Huntt and soccer player Megan Rapinoe. This initiative aims to bring audiences closer to films and artists.
According to transaction data from the 2025 festival, local small business spending increased by 10% year-over-year in the festival zone, while foreign visitor spending rose 15% from the prior year and represented 20% of local commerce during the event. The number of small businesses in the festival area expanded by 30% since 2022.
'For nearly three decades, Visa has been proud to partner with TIFF, one of the world's most influential film festivals,' said Michiel Wielhouwer, President and Country Manager of Visa Canada.
