Visa Sees Small Gain Amid Stablecoin Credit Card Expansion
Visa's share price edged up nearly 0.3% on Wednesday morning to $362.95, following its partnership with Reap to bring stablecoin-linked credit card programs to over 100 markets.
The collaboration allows businesses to use stablecoins to fund card spending while merchants continue to accept Visa payments. Reap handles the card processing, compliance, and day-to-day operations, settling its Asia-Pacific obligations directly with Visa in stablecoins.
The companies plan to explore using AI agents for payments within limits set by users, but this is still an area of exploration rather than a launched product.
Visa's current share price sits 10.15% below the $403.96 GF Value shown in the image. The partnership does not provide any forecast for card spending or additional Visa revenue.
