Visa Share Price Hits $366 as Job Cuts and New Stablecoin Platform Unveiled
Visa's (V) share price has reached $366.13 following its fiscal third quarter 2026 earnings report, which included news of 2,600 job cuts tied to AI automation and the launch of a new Stablecoin Platform.
The company's growth in consumer payments volume was 8-9% in constant dollars, driven by secular cash-to-card conversion and cross-border recovery. The CMS business is initially growing at around 20%, but will decelerate to 12% by FY30, while the VAS business is sustaining 20-25% growth before slowing to 15% by FY32 as it matures.
A narrative fair value of $197.40 sits well below Visa's current price, indicating a valuation gap for investors to consider. However, Simply Wall St's DCF model points in the opposite direction, suggesting that Visa is modestly undervalued instead of overvalued.
The DOJ antitrust case has been resolved with a monetary settlement and limited routing adjustments, which are seen as painful but not structurally disruptive to debit network economics. Regulatory outcomes could still pose risks for the company's value if they prove harsher than expected.
