Visa Stock Drops on Proposed Card-Fee Settlement Uncertainty
Visa Inc.'s stock price fell by 2.2% during trading on Tuesday, settling at $361.8160 after reaching a low of $359.80.
The company traded 8,758,495 shares, an increase of 13% from the average daily volume of 7,730,446 shares.
Visa's revenue growth is supported by value-added services, which now generate nearly one-third of its revenue and could provide a growth engine beyond traditional card transactions.
The company has been investing in emerging payment use cases, including artificial-intelligence-enabled commerce, cross-network identity standards for payment agents, and a three-year partnership with MOONTON Games.
