The survey, which included 14,250 participants, also found that only 6 percent had a clear understanding of how stablecoins function.
Visa's commercial programs have already seen substantial activity tied to stablecoins. As of October 1, 2026, stablecoin-linked card volume accounted for 17 percent of business and commercial programs. The company supports over 160 stablecoin-linked card programs, with payment volume in this segment surging nearly 200 percent year over year.
Visa's fiscal third quarter, ending June 30, 2026, reported revenue of USD 11.633 billion, a 14.36 percent increase from the prior-year quarter. The adjusted earnings per share (EPS) for the July 28, 2026 quarter was USD 3.32, slightly above the consensus estimate of USD 3.23.
