Visa Stock Up on AI Partnership with Mastercard and Ant International
Visa's stock price has increased by approximately 0.7% to $369.65 on Friday, as it partners with Mastercard and Ant International to create shared identity standards for AI purchasing agents.
The alliance aims to establish a 'Know-Your-Agent' framework that enables card networks, digital wallets, online marketplaces, and AI platforms to verify legitimate agents without compromising their own approval and fraud controls.
The proposed framework combines Visa's Trusted Agent Protocol, Mastercard's Verifiable Intent, and Ant's Agentic Mobile Protocol through a platform convened by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Visa's current share price sits 13.06% below its estimated GF Value of $425.18, but the real payoff for investors will only be seen if trusted AI agents generate more spending, not just technical standards.
