Visa Teams with Bluefin for Unified In-Person Payment Platform

Visa Inc.'s (V) Acceptance Solutions business has partnered with Bluefin to offer a unified in-person payment platform. This platform combines Bluefin's PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) and device lifecycle management within Visa's routing and tokenization infrastructure.

The initial rollout is on Ingenico Lane checkout terminals, providing large merchants with a more integrated way to manage card-present payments, security, and devices. This partnership addresses a key challenge for enterprise merchants: payment processing, security, terminals, and compliance are often managed through separate systems and providers.

By consolidating these functions, Visa can simplify integration, ease PCI compliance requirements, and streamline deployment. Lower technical and compliance friction could make its acceptance solutions more attractive to businesses managing large and complex payment networks.
