Vsora CEO Claims EU Dominance in AI Inference Chip Market
Vsora's CEO, Khaled Maalej, credits the French inference chip maker's success to its partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC) and access to high-bandwidth memory.
According to Maalej, Vsora is the only European alternative to Nvidia and AMD for AI inference, and its flagship Jotunn8 chip offers 288 gigabytes of memory and 3.2 petaflop processing power.
Vsora's close relationship with TSMC stems from Dibcom, a French chipmaker specializing in digital-TV receiver chips that Maalej co-founded and later sold to Parrot SA in 2011.
The company aims to reduce the cost per token for AI inference by increasing silicon throughput, and has partnered with major German carmakers on level-4 autonomous driving technology.
