W1M Asset Management Doubles Down on Amazon with $576 Million Bet
W1M Asset Management Ltd has added Amazon.com to its portfolio of investments. The company purchased approximately 2,418,468 shares of Amazon's stock in the second quarter, with a value of around $576 million. This new investment accounts for about 5.3% of W1M's holdings, making it their second-largest holding.
This is not an isolated instance; several other institutional investors and hedge funds have also increased or decreased their stakes in Amazon.com during the same quarter. These include Silvant Capital Management LLC, Northstar Financial Companies Inc., and Gryphon Financial Partners LLC.
Amazon's market capitalization stands at $2.74 trillion, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 20.41. The company's debt-to-equity ratio is 0.23, while its quick ratio is 0.87. Amazon has announced a significant increase in revenue for the quarter, reaching $200.61 billion.
Analysts remain optimistic about Amazon's prospects, citing accelerating AWS demand and a large cloud backlog. Additionally, Project Mercury aims to expand same-day delivery capabilities to over 1,000 hubs by 2031. The company has also made AI-powered hiring product, Amazon Connect Talent, generally available.
