Stocks on Wall Street continued their upward trend on Wednesday, adding to their records set a day earlier. The S&P 500 climbed 0.5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 487 points, or 0.9%. Strong corporate profits and expectations of further growth are driving stocks higher.

The Walt Disney Co. reported strong financial results for its latest quarter, with profit exceeding Wall Street's forecasts. The company's theme park revenue and a $1 billion box office haul from 'Toy Story 5' contributed to the success. Booking Holdings also jumped 5.5% after reporting growth in travel demand.

However, some uncertainty remains due to ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. President Donald Trump mentioned that a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could be reached as early as Wednesday. Despite this, energy markets remain relatively stable, with Brent crude oil prices holding steady at $79.41 a barrel.
