Hedge funds have lost interest in retail giant Walmart (WMT) after its Q2 wobbles, which were exacerbated by economic and consumer uncertainty.

A look at TipRanks' Hedge Fund tool reveals that hedge funds increased their holdings in WMT by 340.5k shares last quarter, but this is a sharp decline from the 2 million shares added in June.

This decrease in interest contrasts with Amazon (AMZN), where hedge funds increased their holdings by 10.5 million shares during the same period, reversing a previous decline of 470.9K shares.

Target (TGT) saw its hedge fund activity also change direction, with an increase of 161.9K shares after previously decreasing by 640.9K shares in June.
