Walmart Stock Slumps 24% Amid Missed Growth Projections
Walmart's (WMT) stock price has plummeted 24% from its peak in May, following Q1 2026 earnings. The current share value is $103.09, a significant decline from the 52-week high of $135.15.
The company reported second quarter revenue of $187.94 billion, exceeding forecasts with a 5.9% annual growth rate and EPS of $0.81 versus $0.74 consensus.
However, Walmart's third quarter net sales projection of 3% to 3.75% expansion fell short of expectations, causing the largest single-session decline since 2022.
