Walt Disney World Under Heat Advisory Today
A heat advisory has been issued for the Walt Disney World area today, August 11, 2026, from 11am to 8pm. According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, heat index values will reach 105 to 110 degrees across east central Florida, including Orange and Osceola counties.
The high temperatures will land in the low to mid 90s, but combined with high humidity, it pushes the heat index into advisory territory during the afternoon and evening hours. The National Weather Service recommends drinking water before feeling thirsty, taking breaks in air conditioning or shade, wearing light, loose clothing, and never leaving kids or pets in a parked car.
Walt Disney World has plenty of indoor AC locations, water fountains, and shaded areas throughout each park. If you start to feel overheated, head indoors to an attraction, restaurant, or shop with air conditioning until you cool down.
