Walt Disney World Unveils New Roadway and Roundabouts
The Walt Disney World resort in Florida has undergone significant changes to its road network as part of the ongoing World Drive North project. The new Floridian Way roadway is now open, providing a direct connection between the Magic Kingdom parking lot and the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
As part of this development, two roundabouts have been completed outside the Grand Floridian, while a third will be constructed to the south near the Magic Kingdom parking lot. The Grand Floridian entrance is expected to connect directly to one of these permanent roundabouts in the future.
The changes are part of Phase III of the World Drive North project, which aims to improve traffic flow around Magic Kingdom and enhance visitor experience. The recent closure of the intersection connecting Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way has required drivers to use World Drive North to access the Polynesian Village Resort.
