Warm Up Your Space with Unconventional Paint Colors
Designers and experts recommend unexpected warm paint colors to instantly make any room feel cozier and more inviting. These lesser-known shades can add warmth to even low-light spaces, creating a comforting atmosphere.
According to Marie Cloud, the founder of Indigo Pruitt Design Studio, one of her favorite shades is Sherwin-Williams Eminent Bronze (SW 6412). She notes that it behaves like a neutral in daylight but turns amber at night, making it perfect for rooms built for sitting still.
Other designers recommend Benjamin Moore Caponata (AF-650), a near-black plum brown that has warmth despite its dark tone. They also suggest Farrow & Ball Setting Plaster (No. 231), a pink shade with yellow undertones, and Benjamin Moore Brewster Gray (HC-162), which has blue and green undertones giving it complexity.
