Warrior Games Return to Walt Disney World in 2027 with Record Number of Competitors

The Warrior Games will return to Walt Disney World in August 2027 for its third time. The event, which celebrates the strength and resilience of wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans, will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Nearly 200 competitors will participate in 12 adaptive sports during the Warrior Games, including archery, cycling, field events, indoor rowing, pickleball, powerlifting, precision air, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby. The five teams of competitors represent all military services: The Army, Marine Corps, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force/Space Force, and Special Operations Command.

Disney has a long history of honoring U.S. military service members, veterans, and their families. The company's legacy began with founders Walt and Roy O. Disney, who both served during World War I. Today, Disney continues to honor their service through meaningful experiences and celebrations.
