Waymo, backed by Alphabet Inc., has expanded its robotaxi services to Las Vegas. The company has announced that it will offer its self-driving vehicles in an area covering nearly 24 miles from Boulder Junction to Sahara Avenue and from Spring Valley to Winchester.

The majority of the fleet in Las Vegas will comprise Zeekr's co-developed 'Ojai' robotaxis, which is paired with Waymo's sixth-generation self-driving suite. The company plans to expand its service to other residents in the Clark County region.

Waymo has also announced that it will roll out unsupervised robotaxis in Tokyo next year, contingent on securing regulatory approval and completing the validation of its technology. Riders will be able to book rides via the Waymo app or GO app once the service is launched.
