Webex by Cisco Brings Context and Control to the Age of AI
As the world continues to grapple with the seismic shift in work caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, technology companies are racing to adapt. Webex by Cisco is at the forefront of this transformation, enabling unprecedented levels of flexibility, security, and collaboration.
In an interview ahead of its premier collaboration event, WebexOne, Snorre Kjesbu, Cisco's senior vice president and general manager of collaboration, discussed how AI is redefining work. He highlighted four key technology forces driving this change: 'inference is the new workload', 'agents are the new workforce', 'tokenomics is the new currency', and 'control is the new moat.'
These forces are changing collaboration in three areas: how people work, how workplaces evolve, and how companies engage with their customers. Webex by Cisco is helping customers meet these changes through its integration of AI, which enables 'Connected Intelligence', bringing context together so it can move with you across meetings, applications, devices, and physical spaces.
Cisco's unified platform strategy approach is integrating and simplifying once-disparate tools. This includes the brand-new tool called Cisco Cloud Control, which enables control over network setup, access points, security, data center, and collaboration from one pane of glass.
As AI becomes more deeply integrated into all products, security will be even more important. Snorre emphasized that security is architectural at Cisco, and it continues to apply this discipline now that AI is more deeply integrated.
