West Seattle Home Depot Encampment Cleared by City Crews
City crews are currently clearing out an encampment behind West Seattle's Home Depot. The operation comes after Southwest Precinct commander Capt. Krista Bair mentioned multiple local encampment clearances this week at a community-safety meeting.
The notorious encampment west of the store has been plagued by problems, including multiple fires. According to the King County Parcel Viewer, the land on which it sits is owned by the city.
A message was sent out to the city seeking information about today's operation, but a response was not immediately available.
