Westwind Capital Reduces Holdings in NVIDIA as AI Demand Remains Strong
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) saw its shares reduced by Westwind Capital in the second quarter, according to the latest filing with the SEC. The fund's holdings in NVIDIA decreased by 11.1%, resulting in a total of 89,123 shares owned.
Westwind Capital's stake in NVIDIA accounts for 4.2% of their overall holdings, making it their seventh largest position. The value of their holdings in NVIDIA at the end of the second quarter was $17.833 million.
Other institutional investors have also been buying and selling shares of NVIDIA. Defender Capital LLC boosted its stake by 0.7% during the second quarter, while Spectrum Financial Alliance Ltd LLC increased its holding by 3.8% in the first quarter.
NVIDIA reported its quarterly earnings on August 26th, beating analysts' estimates with $2.22 earnings per share and revenue of $96.22 billion, a 105.9% increase from the same period last year. The company's management guided to roughly $108 billion in fiscal Q3 revenue and indicated that sales could grow about 70% in 2028.
Several analysts have raised their price targets for NVIDIA following the results, including Wedbush, Truist, RBC, and JPMorgan. However, reports indicate that NVIDIA is pursuing a $12.9 billion acquisition of open-source AI platform Hugging Face, which may be a factor in its future growth.
