Wichita Storms Bring Building Collapse and Widespread Power Outage

Storms swept through Wichita on Tuesday afternoon, bringing powerful winds and causing significant disruptions to the city.

A building collapse occurred on the Boeing Wichita campus in the 3800 block of S. Oliver, prompting concern for the safety of those nearby.

According to Evergy, approximately 3,000 people lost power due to the storm, affecting customers from 37th Street North to Harry Street and parts of Oliver to Webb Road.

Luckily, power was restored shortly after the outage.
