A major investment firm, Wilmar Advisors LLC, has acquired a new stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) worth approximately $5,958,000. The institutional investor bought 25,000 shares of the e-commerce giant's stock during the second quarter.
This is not an isolated instance; other hedge funds and institutions have also modified their holdings of AMZN in recent periods. Auto Owners Insurance Co increased its stake by a staggering 27,376.7% in the fourth quarter and now owns 98,448,885 shares valued at $2,272,397,000.
Amazon's Generac supply agreement worth up to $8 billion for backup generators has generated strong interest among investors. The deal highlights AWS data-center demand and addresses electricity constraints that could slow AI expansion.
