Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 will reach its end of support in January 2027. This means that devices running this edition of Windows 10 will no longer receive regular security updates, including fixes for critical bugs. The operating system will still function, but it will be vulnerable to security threats.

For those who use Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, Microsoft offers three options to prepare for the end of support:

The first option is to move to another supported edition of Windows 10 LTSC. This includes Enterprise LTSC 2019 and its IoT equivalent, which remains supported until January 9, 2029. The second option is to pay $61 per device for the first year of Extended Security Updates (ESU) for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021.

However, it's worth noting that ESU does not restore full support and only provides critical and important security updates. It does not include new features, general bug fixes, design changes or normal technical support.
