Windows 11 Cloud Rebuild Gets New Features for Remote Cleanup

Microsoft has expanded its Cloud Rebuild recovery tool in Windows 11 preview builds to include two new features.

The first feature, Drive Sanitization, permanently cleans supported storage before reinstalling Windows, warning users to back up files first as the data sanitization process is permanent and cannot be reversed.

IT administrators can also trigger Cloud Rebuild remotely through a Microsoft management tool for company devices using the Remote Deployment via Recovery CSP feature.

The features target unresponsive, corrupted, returned, recycled, or reassigned Windows 11 PCs.
