Windows 11 Crashes Tied to RGB Peripherals

Microsoft has identified the culprit behind recent Windows 11 crashes: RGB peripherals. Users reported system instability, freezing games, and even blue screens of death (BSODs) after installing KB5121003, a monthly update for Windows 11.

The issue affects online multiplayer titles such as Arc Raiders, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and The Finals, which freeze or crash due to an 'EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION' error.

Microsoft attributes the problem to RGB software installed on affected PCs, specifically drivers with file names similar to 'inpoutx64,' which interfere with core system components. This can cause anti-cheat software to block the driver, leading to a crash.

To fix the issue temporarily, users can disable the inpoutx64 driver using the Registry Editor or use universal programs like SignalRGB or OpenRGB to control their devices.
