Windows 11 Design Refresh Continues with Older Dialogs Up Next

Microsoft is continuing its Windows 11 design refresh by modernizing older Settings dialogs. The company has confirmed that the Voice packages dialog and the Reset this PC interface are being rewritten in WinUI 3, its modern native UI framework for Windows apps.

The Voice packages window, which allows users to search for languages and install their available voices, still looks out of place beside the newer Settings shell. March Rogers, Microsoft's Partner Director of Design, said that the company is gradually working its way through modernizing older UI in Windows.

The Reset this PC interface, which uses a Windows 8.1-era design, will also be updated. The changes are expected to arrive through future Windows updates, but Microsoft has not provided a release date.
