Windows 11 Emergency Update Fixes Bugs Introduced in Previous Patch
Microsoft has released an emergency update to fix bugs in Windows 11 just one week after its big September Patch Tuesday update. The September 8 update addressed a record 966 flaws, including two actively exploited zero-day vulnerabilities, across Microsoft products.
The update, KB5129194, is for Windows 11 version 26H1 and should be installed as soon as possible to get the latest security updates from Patch Tuesday.
However, the previous update caused several issues, such as Remote Desktop Services becoming unstable, certain USB audio devices not working properly, and applications using Hyper-V-based Linux virtual machines experiencing problems.
The new emergency update fixes some of these issues but does not resolve every USB audio problem. Microsoft is still working on a fix for the remaining issues.
