Windows 11 Home and Pro Face End of Support in October 2026
Microsoft has announced that devices running Windows 11 Home and Pro will reach end of support on October 13, 2026. This means they will no longer receive monthly security and non-security preview updates. The company recommends upgrading to Windows 11 25H2, the latest version.
The update policy applies to both Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016 and Windows 11 Home and Pro versions. Devices running these editions that are not managed by IT departments will automatically be upgraded to Windows 11 25H2.
Microsoft has also announced that Windows Server 2022 is nearing the end of its mainstream support, transitioning to extended support on October 13, which will last until October 14, 2031.
