Microsoft has confirmed that certain games are crashing on Windows 11 after installing the KB5121003 security update, released on August 11. The issue affects systems running Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 builds 26100.9168 and 26200.9168, respectively.

The problem is linked to certain RGB components and their associated drivers, particularly those with filenames similar to inpoutx64. Games such as ARC Raiders, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and THE FINALS may stop responding, terminate without warning, or crash with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Microsoft has not specified which versions or manufacturers are affected but is investigating the interaction between RGB-related components and games. The company recommends checking for updates from device manufacturers and reporting cases through the Feedback Hub.
