Windows Users Abandon Microsoft Store for Free UniGetUI App Manager
Windows 11's application management is stuck in the past, making it difficult to install and update software. The Microsoft Store has been neglected by developers and Microsoft itself, leaving popular apps unavailable.
A free alternative called UniGetUI uses the WinGet package manager to provide a centralized place to find, install, and update software.
UniGetUI introduces Linux-style app management features, allowing users to search for and install nearly every Windows application in existence. It also supports other software repositories, including developer-centric package managers like Python's pip.
The Software Updates page lists out-of-date apps on your system and lets you update them all at once with a single click. This is particularly useful for non-Store apps that don't automatically update themselves.
