WinUI Gets Much-Needed DataGrid Control to Boost Native App Development

Microsoft has confirmed it's working on a long-promised DataGrid-style control for WinUI, which should convince more developers to build apps using Windows 11's modern framework instead of other options.

The company had previously teased this change at the Build 2026 developer conference and is now closer to public release. This control means WinUI can display proper tabular data, and you might soon notice more enterprise apps built with the recommended framework.
