Wolcott Resident Sheila Cesare Passes Away Unexpectedly at Age 66
Sheila Cesare, a lifelong resident of Wolcott, CT, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 18, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Donald Adamek Sr. and Judith Mulligan Rosenthal, and the oldest of three siblings.
Cesare graduated from Wolcott High School and attended Southern Connecticut State University, where she excelled in athletics, particularly field hockey, basketball, and softball. Her love for sports remained with her throughout life, and she enjoyed watching events with friends and family.
After working at UPS and Home Depot, Cesare retired and spent her free time gardening and caring for her plants. She was a creative person who loved imagining travel destinations and had fond memories of visiting Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Cesare's friends and family remember her fun-loving personality, contagious laugh, and dimpled smile. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
