Woman Steals Wallet from Ahmedabad Starbucks, Spends 27k on American Express Card

A 35-year-old gym director in Ahmedabad had his wallet stolen from a Starbucks outlet in Navrangpura on Saturday afternoon.

The wallet contained Rs 15,000 in cash and an American Express credit card, which was later used for purchases worth Rs 27,000 at various outlets.

The victim alleged that the theft occurred while he was away from his table, receiving a phone call outside the cafe. He discovered the missing wallet when he returned to pick up his bag.

CCTV footage reviewed by the manager and the complainant showed a heavily built woman approaching his table, placing her bag beside his, going to the washroom, and then returning to allegedly steal the wallet.
