Wood's ARK Invest Shifts Focus to AI Infrastructure
Cathie Wood's investment firm ARK Invest continued to reshape its portfolio in August, making significant changes that reflected shifting market trends. The most notable purchases included Nvidia (NVDA), which saw roughly 548,000 shares added during the month, and SpaceX (SPCX), with around 386,900 shares bought.
ARK's focus on AI infrastructure was evident as the firm also bought into Cerebras Systems (CBRS) and Broadcom (AVGO). The biotech sector saw a rotation within genomics and gene editing, rather than an exit from the sector. ARK maintained its position in Tesla (TSLA), with no trades made around the EV-maker in August.
The biggest move by shares sold was Roblox (RBLX), with ARK unloading roughly 2.6 million shares during the month. Other significant reductions included Tempus AI (TEM) and Shopify (SHOP).
