Woodside Eyes Chevron Assets Amid Regulatory Review
US-based Chevron and Australian energy company Woodside are in the midst of a proposed asset swap, which is currently under review by Australia's competition watchdog.
The deal, if approved, would see Woodside acquire Chevron's interests in the North West Shelf Project and the Wheatstone project in Western Australia.
A spokesperson for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) confirmed that the proposed transaction is being reviewed to assess its potential impact on competition in the market.
