Woolworths Chooses Droga5 as New Creative Partner Amid Big Wins in Pitch Season
Droga5 ANZ has won the creative agency pitch for Woolworths across Australia and New Zealand, taking over from M+C Saatchi's Greenhouse Collective. The appointment follows a competitive process and means Droga5 will handle creative work for Woolworths' Everyday Rewards program, while TBWArisbane will continue as the creative agency for Big W. Sean Barrett, Woolworths chief marketing officer, said 'Following a competitive pitch process, we're pleased to announce that Droga5 has been selected as the new lead creative partner for Woolworths in Australia and New Zealand.'
In other news, Howatson+Company has been appointed creative agency of record for Dulux Australia. The full-service independent agency's remit spans strategy, creative, and production. Chris Howatson, founder of Howatson+Company, previously worked on the Dulux account while at Clemenger BBDO.
Momentum has won the Optus pitch, securing a multi-year agreement to deliver activations across the telco's national retail network. The win adds to Momentum's existing client portfolio, which includes SAP, Endeavour Group, Heineken, Lion, and American Express. Jen Peace, managing director at Momentum, said 'We're incredibly proud to partner with Optus at a time when retail is being reimagined as an experience-led channel.'
EssenceMediacom has retained Uber's Asia-Pacific media account after a competitive regional pitch. The agency will continue to lead the account from Australia across multiple countries in the region.
