Work IQ Brings AI Reasoning to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain

Microsoft is expanding its Work IQ platform to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management customers. The new integration will bring data, processes, and operational context from business applications into Copilot and agents, enabling them to reason about orders, inventory, and suppliers.

The preview currently supports data sources such as Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, and Power Apps model-driven apps. However, the Finance and Operations apps, which include Finance and Supply Chain Management, are scheduled to roll out in late October.

Work IQ's architecture allows business applications to plug in by expanding what search, fetch, and execution tools can reach. Each application keeps its own data model, permissions, and governance, ensuring ERP security roles remain intact.
